About Duewa "Kaya" Spicer
When I was younger, I believed that love and sex had to look a certain way. That sex was something to be whispered about, desire was dangerous, and healing was something you did quietly, in the privacy of your own shame. I believed that being “too much” was a flaw to fix, not a fire to tend.
Now I know better.
Now I know that healing often begins in the places we were told to avoid—in the heat of our wants, the ache of our loneliness, and the boundaries we never knew we were allowed to have. I know that therapy isn’t just about coping—it’s about claiming. Claiming your right to pleasure. To complex, nonlinear healing. To relationship models that feel like freedom. To sex that is spiritual, playful, connected, and consensual. To be witnessed without flinching.
In my work, I honor the sacredness of erotic energy, the legitimacy of kink, the beauty of non-monogamy, and the messy brilliance of being human. I don’t offer quick fixes or shallow scripts. I offer a relationship built on trust, depth, and the radical belief that you are not broken—you are becoming.
Here, we don’t just talk about healing. We practice it. In your body, in your boundaries, in your breath.
I obtained my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Health and Military Social Work. I am a licensed clinical social worker and certified sex therapist. As the mother, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and spouse of military veterans, I am honored to work with all veterans including LGBTQIA+ service members.
